Other sections in this ‘Costs in anticipation of crime’ part of the site have indicated that this is an area of costs where measurement and estimation remains comparatively under-developed. Insofar as efforts have been made they result in the sorts of estimates to be found in Table 2.1 of the Home Office estimates for 2003-04.
